Really enjoyed this! The point about strategy needing to move from something we say to something that actually shapes decisions day to day really rings true. I’m curious though, what do you think is the first practical step for a team that realises their decision-making is mostly tacit? Is this a documentation problem, a leadership problem, or more of a culture shift? Feels like a lot of orgs will recognise themselves in this but won’t know where to start.
Hi Elexa, great to hear from you! I think I'd start by finding something that is fairly impactful but low risk politically (and maybe low-lift), then build up from there. Maybe map out options on a 2x2 and see if that reveals anything. My second post (publish tomorrow) anchors some of the concepts a bit more. Then I plan to get into more details about implementation at the skills and files level.
